I have decided I am going to make 2 2 x 4's but because Fred disapproves of the new boar one will be on top of the other the plan is to have one going straight and the other across the way so it fits perfectly in to a corner.

Also Does anyone know the exact measurements of a 2 x 4... I really want both cages on the floor so the pigs can see each other but I don't think that will help Fred any... but I do like my being able to walk when I open the doors. I also like my pigs being able to see out :(

Great ideas appreciated, if you have any :) Thank you!

It may be an idea to PM Laura (ccc4) as she has made her c&c's to go next to each other in the past and I *think* she has boars with in groups / pairs that can still see each other :)

Hello

A 2x4 measures 140cm x 70cm - hope that helps! (Thats without using connectors, so add a few cm in each direction if you are using connectors!

The c&c page states that the inside mesurements of a 2x4 is 76x127 cm.

So you are gona put the two cages in a corner so that the top one covers half of the bottom one? I think that sounds great! That way you'll still have direct acces to the bottom one. Remember you'll need a few extra grids to support the overhang of the top cage :)

You could use the underneath area as storage! :) this means more hay surely lol

How silly of me to forget about this thread... Yes thats whatI was thinking but I'm not sure how to make the stand so it holds my boxes! It also gives me some room back!

It should be able to use the method used by laura by using some bracing bars made out of wood for the upper levels.....
