Hi, :)

I've been reading through lots of threads on various housing, from the C & C cages to various others.

I have two piggies, Maisy and Daisy. (Maisy is about 4/5 years and a rather large lady too and Dotty is just 20 weeks but filling out nicely aswell lol.

I haven't really got the room to construct a C & C cage as yet, as that is really the way I'd like to go, but I've seen this cage on Zooplus and wondered if you all thought it was big enough for the pair of them. Dotty is rather lively at times you see. ;)

Many thanks for your feedback.

I have that one for my two pigs and they're perfectly happy in it :) i'm planning on getting C&C after I've finished my first year of uni, when me and the bf have our own house.
they get floor time every couple of days or so- and garden time now the weather is nicer- but there's a nice amount of room in there for them to have a run around and have places to hide :)

If you know you will eventually want a C&C I think you should just get the materials for it and start out small-ish. A 2x3 is not bigger on the outside than this ferplast cage (just more square) and you would be a lot more flexible if you want to add a loft or something. Then when you want to go bigger you can just use what you've got and add to it.

Otherwise you'll spend the money on this cage and then just have to store it when you make the c&c. (it could be used as a spare cage for vacation or sick pigs, I guess but pet store cages are not the easiest to store.).

I think it depends. Do you travel a lot with your pigs? If so maybe a petstore cage is a good idea as it's easier to put in a car than a c&c. Do you think it will be ages until you can build a c&c or will it be pretty soon? If soon definitely go for the 2x3.

Many thanks both. :)

Yup, ideally I would like a C & C but I can't see anywhere where we can construct it at the mo. There is a space I could use if I got a big enough table to put the cage that I mentioned on, but it means moving something else in order to do it. Ahhhh, decisions eh, lol!

Both girls only use the cage for overnight, but it is not big enough for them. I put them outside before I leave for work, in the hutch and/or the run, so they have adequate space for doing what they want, but I would like to get a bigger cage and/or one of these C & C cages.
