So last month we bought scooby and shaggy and I have become obsessed with them. The cage we bought at the time I have come to learn was not large enough. The upgrade happened today along with the purchase of another two boys Elvis and Drogon ( I know crazy). This is their new home. (Had to put a a fleece blanket over the middle seperate get bar as scooby wouldn't stop trying to chew the bars).

I hate to put a dampener on your enthusiasm and love for these piggies, (especially when you clearly adore them and you've just increased their cage size) but if you are planning to put all 4 together I would very strongly advise against it. A young boar quartet is most unlikely to succeed and they are most likely to fight and get injured. It would be best to keep them as 2 separate pairs.

Hi VickiA,
Aware of this hence the cage being partitioned. From what I have read it is rare that a quartet stays a quartet.
Would it be a good idea to let them have floor time together. If you have any links about introducing pairs in floor time please let me know.
Thanks

I'm glad to hear you are planning to keep them as 2 pairs.
No please do not let them all out together as each time they meet they need to re-establish the hierarchy. I would do separate floor times if you would like to keep the harmony. Boar pairs are so much fun and very interesting.
