Can a new male gp stay with a older female gp ?
new one is 2weeks old and old one is six months.
Help !

no they need to be seperate until the boy is neutered. and 2 weeks is too young to be away from mum yet!

But the owner just sold me >.< So he/she don't have mummy now :/
*i'm not sure about it's gender*

Baby boars usually leave mum around 18 - 23 days old, and can begin to mate soon after this. You have two issues here. 1. Age of baby, is he/she eating and drinking well enough to thrive? If not you will need to supplement with syringe feeding. You can ask for further advice on what/how to syringe feed if this is the case. 2. Sex of baby, you need to get a positive ID as soon as possible. IF, your bub is only 2 weeks old, he will be ok in the sow for a couple of days until you can go to vet and get confirmation. If bub is a boar, as Laura says, they cannot stay together. xx

ps, it wouldn't do any harm to start weighing your bub. At this age I would do it daily, you can use your kitchen scales, it will be a good indicator of how he/she is doing. xx

He/she in good condition. :)
Hmm means. i should seperate them if their sex is different ?

Definatly. Or you will end up with more babies. And believe me they can get preggie pretty darn quick.
Did the person you got him from ask you any questions. ie have you got a female piggie, seperate accomodation?

No wor, *** he didn't know their gender too.
Hmm thanks for the help! :) :)

You sound very unsure.
Dont forget we are all here for any information you may need.
Oh ark at me. Hve piggies for 3 months and all of a suddon I'm an expert.
What I know is what everyone has told me.

could you post a picture of both your guinea pig's 'bits'?

I can't believe someone sold you a guinea that is only 2 weeks old mallethead Hope he/she's eating ok anyway. If we can help you sex them and the new pig is a boy then your best bet is to either return the pig and get a female or separate them until you can get him neutered.

Aww very cute.
I can't believe that someone would let a 2 week old piggy go, don't they need to feed off mum till around 21 days (and then separate if male), hope it's ok.
Like I said beautiful piggy drool

Did the breeder not know the sex? Thats shocking. You may be better getting ** baby checked by someone who is experienced in sexing piggies. Looks like a girl in the photo but you need to have a good look. If you put a bit of pressure either side you can usually extrude a penis if its a boy.

May I ask where abouts you are/where the breeder is based? Doesnt sounds v responsible to me. Sorry to moan.

x.
