I didnt know if I should put this here or in food. I got a pair of guinea pigs on 6/17/11 they are just a few months old. They are females (100%) sure and they where already bonded. I am feeding them pure pellets with few veggies/fruit they seem to be eating those great but they just nibble on the pellets I saw watched them before I got them they were killing that food the same they have now. Why aren't they eating more it's sunday here and the ride was very long and lots of turns any ideas

Give them a few days to settle - the stress of moving into a new environment usually disrupts their eating habits.
Once they settle, they'll be wheeking like crazy at you for food ;)

good call guinea pig slave it does happen but try putting some treats in for a couple of days if it doesent clear up.

as long as they're eating hay and veggies they'll be fine for a few days. were they fed on pellets or muesli before? as when i tried mine with pellets they wouldn't eat them because they weren't used to them, so i mixed abit in together for a while till they got used to it x

they're probably just being fussy and spoilt with all the veggies then! haha! x

when i adopted nelly from p@h they told me he only eats excel nuggets and gave me the bag, bought him home gave him some wouldn't touch them! so i thought i shall put some of the piggies nuggets in wagg and he ate them. he also likes the excel blackcurrant and oregano ones.

it might just be that they are bored with them. keep at it and if not try a different nugget.

but if they are eating hay and veggies i wouldnt worry to much :)
