hi, I'm new, just got a guinea pig from pets at home, the lady said she's well, she's just a baby and is black, just wondering if her ears are normal? The lady said nothing about it but that stress can develop ringworm etc so just checking
she's fine

We can’t really go by your vague description. Another thing is that guinea pigs need company of their own kind. Given she (have you double checked that it’s a sow) is young you need to get her company as soon as possible. I would also book her in to see the vet in a weeks’ time. Unless the lady is a vet she won’t know.

Congratulations on your new guinea pig. Babies really really need the company of another guinea pig. Is there any way that you could get her a friend?

Also a vet check is probably a good idea to set your mind at rest re ringworm.

If you have a good rescue near you they could help with finding your piggy a friend.

Hi and welcome

I totally agree with the above. Without access to the piggy in question, all we can do is play wild guessing games based on your own guesses - and that is in no way going to help you and could even lead to you incorrectly treating your guinea pig.
You need to see a vet for a hands-on diagnosis. If it is a case of ringworm, you can reclaim the vet fees from the pet shop. Please don't touch and don't use anything to dab on a suspected spot; it will make a diagnosis much more difficult or even impossible.
New guinea pigs: Sexing, vet checks&customer rights, URI, ringworm and parasites

Guinea pigs are group animals and not wired to be on their own; especially not babies who especially at that age desperately need a 'teacher' piggy (whether that is their mother or another sow or a socially minded bachelor boar) to take them on to give them the security they crave, socialise them and show them how to master their environment by their own example.
