hi, where did you get the pigs from? how old are they? what sex are they? do they look ill? is there skin/fur ok? I think people will need as much information as you can give to help. Have you given them food/hay/water?

If you've just brought them home today, it is quite normal for them to hide away, they will be quite scared. Got ours two weeks ago, hardly saw them for the first day or so, as they hid in their bedroom bit of hutch!

Make sure they have food, and water near the bedroom so they don't have to venture far. Also, plenty of hay, and leave them for at least 24-48 hours to settle and get used to surroundings before you disturb them.

Good luck, and any more worries, just ask here, everyone is really helpful!

But, yep, anymore info good, just so anything else can be eliminated. :)

Make sure that they are both healthy and have them checked by a good piggy savvy vet. Skin problems like mites and fungal can easily spread on stressed out piggies, as can URI (respiratory infection).
Also please check their sex again; we have had quite a few members who have ended up with problems due to acquiring missexed piggies.

Otherwise give them space and time to settle. Guinea pigs are prey animals and still have those instincts. Your hutch hugger feels currently very put upon!
