Hey guys
Ok I just bought my three little boys today from pets at home, I have to say the one I used were fantastic! let me cuddle all of them and told me about each guinea and let me choose which ones I wanted in my own time, gave stacks of information and promised to call to check all was ok. Even gave his work email address should there be an issue or needed advice (he obviosly really cared for his young charges)
So I will post photos at some point, but they are currently chilling just now and eating their tea so I wont frighten them.0

My question is this, my smallest baby guinea squeaks when I stroke his head. He doesn't sound distressed but he squeaks just when i touch a certain spot I have checked him and I cant feel anything and he doesn't seem sore
Just want to confirm this is ok?
 
My Max does that . He's telling me he doesn't like it. He likes chin rubs and nose rubs - but he doesn't like his head stroked.

Cannot wait to see 'pigtures' of your boys. Have you decided on names for them yet?.

Yes it could just be that he does not like being patted on that spot. They are all different and like different things. Some of mine like under the chin rubs and for some it is a big no no.

Just monitor him and as you get to know him better you will be able to tell if there is a problem or not.

Hi guys so far I have Flash and Sam the runt and the one that is the subject of this thread is
currently called the furball!
They are all very sweet they love Kale but hate and I do mean HATE carrots its so funny to watch
they hear me coming, run to the bowl with glee if its carrot they run away, almost in disgust. :-)
Ill do some photos at some point.

They are getting used to me now, they used to run away when they heard me coming outside and lift the hutch cover
now they are quite happy to sit and watch me, They seem to know its me with heels. anyone else they flee from.

That's great news . You don't need to worry that your guinea pigs hate carrots - carrots aren't particularly good for guinea pigs !
 
Congrats on your boys.Please be aware that it is rare for three boys to make it through the hormonal stage without fighting.Please have some sort of back up plan to be able to seperate them if you have to.Good luck with them
 
That's really good to hear that you have experience with boy trio's as it is very rare that they do get through the hormonal stage. Do they have lots of space ?
