Hi and welcome

We have got a very helpful guide collection for new owners, which answers specifically all the questions we get asked most often in practical detail. You may find it helpful for bookmarking and as a resource. The guide format allows us to update the information, unlike a book.
The collection contains a chapter on settling in and human interaction (including a spot of piggy whispering); useful family advice; how to understand guinea pig behaviours; comprehensive information on diet, housing and care; hot and cold weather care advice; safe enrichment and dangerous cage and toys; learning what is normal and what not, and when to see a vet. The collection also contains links to lists of recommended vets and rescues.
We have also included a guide that deals with the most common problems that can come with new shop or breeder bought piggies, so you know what to look out for and what your customer rights are if there is a problem.
Here is the link: Getting Started - New Owners' Most Helpful Guides

You can access our full guides collection on an even wider range of topics via the guides shortcut on the top bar but you are always welcome to post any questions or concerns in our various Care sections. We are a friendly forum that will try to help and work out the best solution for you with you.

I would strongly recommend to please double-check the gender of your piggies in the coming days. We have been seeing an increase in cases of mis-sexing and unplanned pregnancies. If you struggle with sexing your babies with the help of the guide pictures, you are welcome to post preferably clear and day lit pictures in our sexing section, which is specially monitored by experienced rescue fosterers.

I hope that you have a good time on this forum and with our friendly community!

Welcome to the forum! Hopefully we can see some pigtures when they get settled
I find that guinea pigs do anything for lettuce. They are new so probably feeling a bit overwhelmed so they will be exploring just only when theres no one around but hide some lettuce around and theyll go for it.
