Hi,
I bit the bullet today and we went to get a new friend for Mo. Lucy has been dragging her bottom lip as Mo is very much my pig and it tends to show. Sadly Gizzy was Lucy's. Bless him. So we went off today and brought home little Patch who is 12 weeks old. He has been put in a seperate indoor cage and we have put his cage beside Mo's. Now, Mo has livened up since we did this. He has started to become more vocal and even did a little popcorning much to Lucy's sheer delight (he hasn't done this since he was first ill). He sniffed at Patch and got very excited and was making what I like to think of as happy sounds. The same sounds he as making after I gave him his first bath today and was drying him on my lap. I am sure it was chuckling.
We really want them to get on and have some fun together. Mo did look excited by the prospect of a buddy and his behaviour was good to see. I will leave them in seperate cages and let them get used to each others smells. Getting nervous. Is this the right thing to do? Should I later put them near each other but one on each lap and have a towel ready? Just in case of trouble 666)?
