Humfred
Junior Guinea Pig
I've tried all kinds of bedding out there but I got something new since last week. I remember seeing it on the forum a while ago, so I know its not a new idea, but last week I decided to purchase some for myself. I had been using wood shavings, but the shavings I used to get from Farm and pet place keep going up in price, although the bag size has gone smaller and the quality is crap. So I bought the foam stuff from Dunhelm Mill.

I've got a 2x7 with upstairs c&c so I got 6 metres which cost me £35 and was enough to make two sets and have left overs. It's so easy to keep clean. All poops and hay just wipe off and it stays a 100% dry even though the puppy pads underneath had plenty of pee stains. The cleaning was very straight forward and took me 5 minutes. No woodshavings all over the floor anymore and I've just washed it on a short cycle and it's come out fine. The only thing I regret is that I went for a light colour which shows up stains more. Should have gone for the grey or brown, but thought the light would go better with their beds etc. Haha! I prefer it over fleece as I used to hate hay getting all over the fleece. They still have a kitchen area and an area with soft bedding and fleece, but the hayrack is over the foam which makes it so much tidier. Just thought it was worth a thread to mention it to everyone who may not have heard of it as I would highly recommend it!
