Hi all, have new furniture arriving in dinning room which means can fit in a bigger cage for my two gp's. Finally can upgrade my ferplast 100 cage (don't worry gp's are not in that constantly, I have a 4x4 foldable run that is permantly up in the front room) :))

I only have the room though for the next size up - the 120. Can I ask those of you that have the 120 is this still enough room for my piggies to be in for most of the day? My girls will have floor time, either in the 4x4 run or free to roam the living room every evening and sometimes during the day. This means I don't have to have the foldable run permanently up.

How many girls do you have? That 120 cage sounds fine for two girls to be in all the time. If you have more pigs than 2, then I'd suggest having loads of run time or floor time for them.

Or you could make a 'mezzanine level' for a bit of extra space

This is the cage my girls lived in for most of the winter...

Thanks. Yes I have just two so gonna go for the 120 cage xx>>>

A c&c cage is not possible due to having to wheel the cage into the living room at night time so the cat does not mither them all night! rolleyes

Seen loads of cages with 2nd level put in, I don't have a clue where to start to make it :{:{

Yep the skyline maxi looks great, the same size but for less than £40 :)

My OH built a wooden one for my hutch you could do the same for the ferplast I will see if I can find a picture.

I don't suppose you are anywhere near wolverhampton because I have one to sell.

Sorry I am about 1.5 hrs away from you. The second level looks good in your hutch. Gonna be a couple if weeks before furniture arrives, think the ferplast 120 will be good as need a stand on wheels.

Thanks

I have the ferplast 120 which I've used once for a weekend while away, but I have always liked the look of these -

http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/rodents/cages/guinea_pig_cages/95921#more,

Some people have them on this forum, you would have to make a better ramp and correx the mezzanine section and would then make a great hay loft. Its also bigger than the ferplast 120 and wider too.

:)

Well the 120 cage is now a no no :( but I can have a 140 xx>>> :))

Have persuaded OH to bring the computer downstairs (by saying he can have a new one) which means I can fit an even bigger cage upstairs, I have to wait till Christmas for the new cage but they are moving up there today.

It's a small room and it does get quite warm up there whats the right safe tempreture for gp's?
