Well, woke up this morning to find that the redhead had busted down the dividing wire and hang out on the tri sister's side! I moved her back over and put the wall in place. Left to get some laundry and come back after hearing a bunch of wire banging noise. She was back on their side!

But why? What was she doing, what the heck is going on?

No idea...she just sat there eating their pellets. Thought maybe since the quad had eaten all their food, maybe they were just being gluttons? Nope, gave them their own food and she was back on the wrong side.

So I stood there staring at them in wonderment, maybe they will be friends now!

Not quite. Close, though. The long haired sisters, redhead is being grumpy to her black sis. Black girl is submissive to her, but still a little there.

The tri sisters were hiding in their corners when the redhead escaped to their side. To the point one was standing up in a corner and the other ran around and came to hide under her sister's belly.

The mirror/belted/blaze sisters, w/e you'd like to call them, are fairly indifferent to them all. I haven't picked a general name for them, but they are a fair mirror image of each other, real cute.

So....I cleaned the cage up, left the divider out and waiting to see what goes on next. I have no idea what's going on. They are all 100% female, so redhead is not going over to breed because she's a secret male.

Ideas...?

why was she seperate from them to begin with?

Maybe she was lonely? If she's getting on with the others and they are all happy then keep them together.

No-no, only the two tri sisters were separated from the other 4.

Interesting. I can't say why but it certainly seems like red is determined to hang out with the other pigges - or maybe she just likes the decor on that side better lol. It doesn't seem like any fighting has broken out so why not try having all 6 live together and see what happens?

Oh she's been very mean before, flying in the air mean. I've had them all together today, while I was home they were fine. Left for a few hrs, came back and they had 2 scuffles. Not sure who the redhead fought with, but the tri sisters are still hiding out...It's all a little weird...

Some piggies have problems in the social department; they want to be with others but have no concept on how to behave and are very confrontational/go aggressive when insecure.

You can either tough it out, giving all your girls as long a stretch of time in one go (preferably under supervision) as you can provide every day, in the hopes that eventually things will quieten down and sort themselves out, or you will have to separate them more firmly, if things don't get better and less stressful over the course of the next few days.

I had a difficult customer last year (not helped by being blind on one eye). In the end, I split her from the big group together with the one friend she'd made (another cataract sow) and dated them with submissive neutered boar of their choice. One year on, she is living peacefully with three more elderly/frail/problem sows (being the top sow's side kick) and the only blow up came after she'd been humped endlessly for two weeks by my hormonal girl.

Well, they are still all together. Does seem like she has no idea how to be nice to so many other pigs, lol. The tri sisters are now scared of everyone, they are used to her being mean and now they are so confused. But the squabbles have been few and not too bad.

I believe I can now officially say that they are all living permanently together and fairly peacefully at that. =D
