@Hank288 I use proper incontinence sheets ( washable ones ).. bit pricey but very absorbent - dry faster than if i use a towel as the middle layer... more cost effective in the long run as I am still using some I made in 2015... but getting desperate for more smaller ones now... Just got this fleece in a sale as my local little sewing/haberdashery shop is closing down...It is a really lovely fleece. Love the colours. Very skilled at sewing as well obviously. What do you use for the absorbant layer?
i have done a cosy in the past but am going to attempt some different bits this weekend !Well done. Looks lovely. Love the fleece!
I make my own liners too when I can work myself up to it! It saves so much money than getting them made as I have a huge cage. I then spend the money I save on lots of cosys that I find too complicated to make myself! Ha.
they really are easy if you have a sewing machine ( you can do by hand but would take longer ).... its literally 3 pieces of fabric sewn together.. I am going for smaller ones this time,,, my washing machine keeps flooding with the huge ones !Lovely! Good idea with the proper internal lining. I got 2 full sized ones made for me but I'd probably go for smaller ones next time. They can get quite heavy and more difficult to brush off when larger. I'm not sure about making my own though!
i love the colours...... my daughter (aged 12) said she hated it but when i just showed her the made up liner she said it looked cute...Ooh that's a lovely liner!
Oh god yes.... wouldn't it be ugly as a jacketThat fleece is GORGEOUS, although I cannot imagine it for anything other that pet accessories. If anyone made clothing from it, it would be rather ugly old granny style.
