So all 7 of our girls are now 1 herd! But, the cage in the livingroom is something nightmares are made of :yikes: I can’t take it anymore lol. OH has agreed to let me put the piggies in the downstairs guest bedroom, as long as the bed/nightstand stays in there! So I’m pretty excited, took lots of sucking up to get him to say yes :)) but I’ve drawn out a design I like that’ll fit in the room and I wanted to see what you guys thought? Is it big enough? Does anyone have any different ideas? We’re ordering whatever we need to make it bigger Wednesday, I’m so excited! I promise once the new cage is up and they are all together I will get up the picture of the 7 girls! Each dash is one grid! It’s all one level I really don’t like lofts, they are such a hassle! 5DBBFECB-5DF6-4CDD-90B2-98925B4BB637.webp

I’m not the most knowledgeable on cage sizes but wanted to say that your plan looks amazing!

Looking forward to seeing pics of the pigs and hopefully your setup when it’s finished!

I think 9x2 is the minimum for 7 girls so your’s is fabulously huge!

How easy will it be to clean? I am short of arm and know I’d need 360 access to clean all of that!

That looks fab!
Is it going on a stand of some sort or straight on the floor?
It reminds me of my first cage for my herd,
Mine was on the floor and I had to stand in the cage to clean it out,
But I think mine was ... thicker? Wider? I don't know
So maybe you won't have that issue :)

Look forward to seeing lots of photos :) :)

I just want the whole herd to have plenty of space! They’re my babies and I just want to give them the world :luv: It will be easy, I’ll have access to all the sides except the back, so I’ll be crawling on in lol

We’re going to have it on the floor because I’m only 5 ft tall. It can be really difficult for me to reach with cages on tables! I’ll just get in the cage to clean, it doesn’t bother me! I will definitely post pictures when it’s up! :)

That’s good! I automatically think of them on tables because that’s what I’ve got and I know I have to use a step to reach the back corner of my L shaped cage! Can’t wait to see it finished - those piggies are going to have a ball!

I’d love if they were on tables, I’m just too short lol and the husband, who is taller, will only clean the cages out if I’m on vacation!

It is nice to have them at eye level (ish) but it does make cleaning harder in terms of reach. I have to take the front row of grids off my cage to do a full clean! And I still use the step!

I use dog lead clips on the grids at the front of my cage so that I can easily remove sections as needed. Much better for cleaning than trying to lean across.

Should be easier as yours is on the floor. Looks lovely and big.

I may have to try that and see if it works for us!
