Flower, hiding from the camera. (well trying to anyways, lol)

The cage (: Notice that I've switched back to the original bedding... My mom wasn't happy when she found poos in her brand new washer.. Yikes! Lol, they seem to be enjoying the new cage(: Flower is the one inside the littler cage. She's just separated like that until her babies come..the other two girls can be rough with her sometimes, maybe a bit too rough! This won't be permanate either. Also, I let the cage open, so they can be with each other and interact, once a day. They get separate floor times though because I want to be extra aware of what Flower is up to! Hope you like the cage!

By the way, Flower never uses the ramp. She hates it, lol. I only keep it in their because she LOVES to hide under it!

I think your cage looks great but Flower's are is far too small for her. I really think you should increase her area.

Why do you have to separate her? Other sows could make great aunties.
If they are not fighting, you don't have to separate her.

Edit to add:
Ditto piggyfan, Flower's area is too small. Plus she needs exercise to have healthy pregnancy. She should have more room to walk around.

Cage door is now open!(: Thanks for your suggestions! I just hope little cocoa and ccoconut don't harass her! Will keep an eye on them ;)

Can you take the whole pet store cage out? It's taking so much room. If you need to separate her later on, you could always divide the C&C with grids down the middle.

Hmm, that's actually a wonderful idea(: I must be too clogged up in the head to be thinking straight! Stupid cold:<>
I do have extra grids, so that's great!
Thanks(:

Much better! :) How are the others treating her?

My tips for having many pigs in the same cage, always have hideys with multiple openings. Watch them if anyone gets trapped in the pigloo. Sometimes the dominant one will block the others from getting in and out. If they they start bickering, you could add fleece/towel tents in the corners. Just clip them to the grids and viola, new hideys that they can run through.

Loads better :)

Yay! I'm so happy there are piggy experts here (:
The girls wanted to say how much they're enjoying their new arrangement!:

Mommy! I wubb it! So much mowr room! Especiawey when thee babies come!
Now, hurry and take the picture. I'm going on a hay overload here, and don't wanna be disturbed!

Lissie- okay, time to make some hideys! Now they'll have 2 extras, not to mention 2 pigloos and a tube(: oh and don't forget under the hay rack! (not the little red one... There is a grid connected to the tops of the pigloos and I put some hay there(:

They're treating her okay...kinda dominant but not bad(: they're just telling her who gets to eat first :p I think they'll soften up a bit when the babies come. If not, back to separate cages! They're also running.... ALOT!

Your piggies are so cute!

Here's another idea for hidey.

Since it's hanging from the top, you won't have to wash it as much. And there should be no poop in your mom's washer ;)

Before I wash any of the gangs bedding I always take it outside and give it a thorough brush off with a stiff dustpan brush. I pop all my animal bedding inside old pillow cases, tie the tops off with elastic hair ties and bingo no bits in the washing machine. :)

I used to do this but found that most of the time it came undone with my towels inside as they are quite heavy so still got moaned at, the bag is brilliant :)

clipping advise

what sort of clippers do you use....

Great ideas for fleece washing! I'll have to give it a try (: also, they're treating her well, now. Not as much dominance behavior, but she's hiding now, so not sure :'(

clippers

are they normal clippers or special ones....thanks for reply...
