I’m getting ready to buy 2 guinea pigs and I’m putting them in a 50l cage and I'm thing of putting them under my bunk bed, would that be ok?

Hi and welcome to the forum. What size measurements is the 50l cage you are looking at? Have you considered rescuing piggies as well rather than buying? By visiting a recommended rescue you would be guaranteed healthy, properly sexed and bonded guinea pigs with ongoing support from the rescue

Hi and welcome

It is good that you are doing your research before you get any pets!

Does a 50l cage mean that you are looking at a fish tank? Please don't - fish tanks provide not enough ventilation, which can lead to illness and a shorter life span. :(

Please have a look at these links here for illustrated recommended cage sizes and resources:

If at all possible, please consider adopting from a rescue with a mandatory quarantine and vet care as well as proper sexing and bonding, so you can avoid the usual pitfalls that await the unwary. Good standard rescues are by far the safest place to get piggies from.

Recommended UK rescues: Recommended Guinea Pig Rescues
Recommended rescues in some other countries: Guinea Lynx :: Rescue Organizations
For US people, there are more rescues on petfinder but you have to check for yourself whether they are up to scratch as anybody can call themselves a rescue without licence and control.

Please make sure that you save up for any necessary vet care right from the start as part of their weekly living cost so you can always see a vet as a life-saving emergency and do not have to sit by and see your guinea pigs die miserably in pain and distress from a treatable illness.
Vet fees make the largest budget post in any pet's life time and need to be taken into consideration even before you get any pets.

It is fine as long as the cage is big enough. Please see the link to the cage size guide Wiebke linked you to. Also worth remembering that boars need more space so definitely go for the largest cage you can accommodate, anything over the minimum cage size your piggies will be very grateful for
