I recently adopted two young boars from rescue - they are in a separate cage from my girls but side by side so they do have a bit of contact through the bars. I also put the runs outside together so that they can see each other (or in Bert's case he can smell the other piggies as he is blind). The boys are not neutered as they are still young and they seem to be settling in but every now and again they get distracted by the girls (who basically ignore them) and start the footstamping and rumbling up and down the side of the cage. This only lasts a few minutes and is hilarious to watch but I do wonder if it is fair - I would like to keep the piggies together although I assume I will never be able to mix two boars with two girls (neutered of course) in the same cage. I dont expect that getting the boys neutered will make any difference either as Rocky, the boar that did live with the girls was neutered and still got a bit carried away every now and again anyway so I suppose its just piggy nature? * can see Bert trying to "break in" below
