Afternoon all sadly one of my Guinea-Pigs died a week ago and the other pig is very sad so we got another pig which is about 10 weeks old. My other pig is about 4 years old. The lady in the shop said will be fine when they meet but what is the best way to do this. Any help with be appreciated

Hi and welcome!

I am very sorry for your loss!

Please take the time to read our bonding guide; it is very comprehensive from the run up to the end of the post-into dominance phase about 2 weeks after the introduction. It also contains chapters on boar as well as on baby bonding with videos and takes you through all the stages of the complex bonding process step by step.
Bonding and Interaction: Illustrated social behaviours and bonding dynamics

Please be aware that baby adult bonding still depends on mutual liking and character compatibility and is not a given. We have often seen babies rejected but the next baby introduced during a rescue dating session would be a love match.

All the best!

Welcome to the forum.
So sorry for your loss.
I can highly recommend the bonding guides @Wiebke has linked for you, having used them myself. They saved my sanity!

Hope your bonding goes well
Same here! I was in the exact same position with a 4 and a half year old boy and a baby. I followed all the advice given and it was fine but as already stated, its all down to personality.

Really hope it all goes well. Keep us posted! 🤞
