[Merrypigs Sanctuary]

We spotted a trio of lovelies relatively local to us on Preloved and having spare space at the Sanctuary decided to bring them in!

Poor things, outdoors in this weather we've had recently with no bedding to keep warm They've had no hay either! She 'wanted them gone' Wednesday 'before the kids got back' but unfortunately I didn't have my car. Worried for them I tried asking a local rescue in desperation in case they could collect them for us - and they did!
Massive thanks to Coseley gpr for collecting them for us and looking after them until we could collect them today!
No ages, no names, but for sure one sow and 2 boars - all living together Little lady is brewing some babies unfortunately!
All three have mites.

Aw, thank goodness you have been able to rescue them. What dreadful people to keep animals in that way, it’s shocking!

Poor piggies. They've really landed on their feet now though.

Poor piggies mine are outside and they have fleece snugglies, snugglesafes, loads of hay, an insulated hutch cover, a thermal waterproof cover and a blanket over the front to keep out the frost! Those poor piggies must have been so very cold! You'll be able to make good use of your new pink fleece with hearts then when it arrives in a few days

What makes people so selfish to think us humans should not care about pets that we in the first place started off by domesticating them. Makes me wonder why some people are so careless

My thoughts are you wouldn't treat a child like it so you shouldn't treat a pet like it either.

Just wondered how Duke, Tucker and Snow White are getting on? Are they very excited to be in their new luxury home?

Ah yes, they're loving life at the moment! The boys are two of the boldest characters we've had in, Duke gets massively excited at everything and popcorn and climbs about like a mad thing! Tucker loves a good stroke and is so vocal :'D And of course Snowpig, well she is one of the most affectionate girls. She constantly craves human attention! If she's not already with you she's standing up at the bars, waiting for you to pick her out

What lucky piggies now being with you!. They're all adorable. Especially Snow White, she looks like my Jon Snow. If she's anything like him she'll be very outgoing and adventurous!

Wonderful news. Incredible that they can be so happy with humans after being kept in such squalor. Animals really are fabulous - Guinea pigs most of all of course!

Tucker and Duke are out for Cuddles! These little boys are such characters and so full of excitement and fun and joy :') It makes me want to cry after everything they've been through!
