My family of piggies have grown! Went from a herd of 3 to a herd of 5 this week! The little one mixed with black and white has been named Jelly Belly and my dark brown and black has been named Mama. Mama is bigger than all of my pigs and have taken the role as mother of the herd. Unfortunately, Lily has to have a home of her own because of her aggressive behavior. She does have interaction with her sister's but has to be watched very carefully as she draws blood at times. She actually prefers to be by herself with an occasional visit from Millie (my grey pig). Lily also prefers more time with her human mommy than anything else. We have daily "mommy and Lily" time so she does not get depressed or lonely. Lily also sleeps in our bedroom as she likes more human interaction than her sister's. If anyone has any tips on how to help with her aggressive behavior (without spaying her) I am all ears. For now, she is a very happy girl in a big home by herself. Plus she LOVES not sharing her food with anyone!

You’ve got gorgeous piggies, spaying and neutering doesn’t do anything to their behaviour except preventing babies! If I’m correct you’re saying one of the guinea pigs from your herd visits your lone piggy? If so, I really wouldn’t recommend to keep introducing them and then splitting them up again, every time you do it it restarts the dominance process and both piggies will find it stressful. If they seem to get along would you be able to keep them in a pair? If not, it’s best to keep them separate, with the only contact being through the bars.

Hope I’ve helped x

Just read through your post again, if your guinea pig is drawing blood, it’s best to keep them separate x

Stunning piggies, please separate though as blood has been drawn, we can help offer advice in our behaviour section
