Sorry I have not been around properly for ages, work is crazy busy and I am getting no time to come on apart from the odd quick browse.

Just wanted to introduce our 2 newbies though. First up is Cherry. After we lost Candy we took Storm dating to meet little Cherry from TEAS. She was rescued from a hoarding situation. She was 5 months and has been with us just over a month. Their bond has developed really well and they both seem really happy. Cherry was very shy but now leads the wheeks at veg time.

Then 2 weeks ago my partner got a message out of the blue about a little sow that had lost her friend. We picked her up and she seems much younger than the 8 months we were told. She is clearly from Pets at Home though so likely they were told the wrong age. She is in quarantine at the mo but we hope to bond her eventually. We are wondering if she is deaf though as she makes no reaction to any noise yet is confident around us and not nervous. She was called Toffee but as we already have one we have named her Tinsel.

Aww I love a happy story. Glad that Cherry has some out of her shell and tinsel looks fabulous. Storm is clearly lucky to gain two new friends

What lovely new additions. Storm must be a very happy piggy with two new friends to keep her company.

Aw, I love a happy ending, what gorgeous girls they are, well done you for giving Cherry and Tinsel a lovely home x

They are both gorgeous, congratulations. Tinsel looks similar to our Caspy with the white body and coloured head, he's crested too. I have found my P@H piggies are much more confident than my others when they first arrive. There are a couple of ladies at our branch who keep their own piggie herds and I suspect they get lot of handling there.

Congratulations! So pleased it going well Utterly stunning

Aww aren't they just gorgeous    :luv:

I had noticed you've not been around as much as lately, sorry for the loss of your other 2 :(

These 2 newbies are simply scrummy tho  glad to hear they're settling in well :) guess they've realised they've landed on their little paws in your 5* piggy Palace with TLC on tap!
Congratulations love the girls & I xx

Thank you everyone. Cherry is doing great and has developed a lovely relationship with Storm. Tiny Tinsel is eating well but has only gained 20g in the time we have had her so she is booked in for a check with Simon or Kim on 4 January. She is 644g. She has settled well though and we have had lots of zoomies. Need to decide who to bond her with over the next week but will wait until she has seen the vet before we attempt it.

Quick update, Tinsel saw Kim Maddock on Friday who confirmed that she is no more than 5 or 5.5 months old so would have been no more than 4.5 months when we took her in. She is perfectly in proportion for a pig her age. She could not confirm if she is deaf but said to carry on reading the subtle signs like we are doing. We are currently working on bonding her and assessing which of our pigs she would be best living with. So far Storm and Cherry are favourite.
