Wow my new 120cm 2 tier cage just arrived (less than 24hrs after I ordered it! Way to go Cozy Pets via Amazon marketplace) but now its here and I've assembled it, who gets to live there?
I bought it for in 8 weeks time after Theo is 6 weeks post plum fairy op... but now its here and I've assembled it I want to fill it with piggies! It is breathtakingly large and each individual floor is a bit bigger than each set of piggies has now as a single level cage.
So what should I do:
1) pack it away and wait 8 weeks like I was supposed to which is most sensible
2) put Piggle and Puggle in there seeing as there are 2 of them
3) put Theo in their seeing as he is the most active piggy with not much company and he looks like he's set to be the junior subordinate herd member- a mansion might increase his attractiveness to the girls?
4) put Theo upstairs (he likes to sleep high up on a house roof rather than in his house) and block off the connecting doorway in the floor with very big thick cardboard (like the box the cage arrived in) and put the girls downstairs and hope he doesnt manage to burrow and knaw his way through and fall on top of the girls?
Here's the empty cage, which just looks like it needs filling with piggies and toys and hay :)

Not sure about this as I have no past experiences but I would probably suggest number 3 as he is the most active and may be able to attract the girls:nod:
All the best

That looks a fun cage @PigglePuggle. I would put Theo in it with the girls next door so they can still see and smell each other. When the time comes to bond them you will need to do this in a neutral area and throroughly clean the new cage so all the smells of Theo is gone before putting everyone in together so it is like putting everyone in to a new space that smells of nobody. It seems a shame to keep such a lovely cage packed away.
