Hi, I introduced my neutered boar to my 2 girls 5 days ago. There was a bit of bickering but nothing too serious so I decided to let them give it a go together. My boar is a really lovely chap but isx) a bit persistant with trying to mount the girls. As a result they now kick at him or chase him whenever he goes anywhere near them. If they were going to be happy together would they have sorted this out after 5 days? It seems to be unsettling them all and I'm wondering wether I should just take him out and find him another friend. Thanks Lisa

it can take the boy several weeks to settle down and you'll find its worse when the girls are in season. give it a few weeks to settle he still has hormones racing round him. the girls will tell him where to go untill they are ready :)

how long ago was your boy neutered?

i wouldn't take him out now,
i'm guessing it may be down to the time of year he's a little more persuing with his actions, however this guide can help you know the difference in behaviour good and bad.
It applies for both boys and girls !

It's normal that although a boy may have lost his ability he hasn't lost his desire so i think it's normal but i don't have much experience, someone else may be able to come along with better information (:

As long as there are no real fights, I would persevere. Hopefully, your girls will be more accepting after they've been in season. You are still very much in the dominance phase, which can take about two weeks or sometimes even longer. From what you are saying, initial acceptance seems to have happened, so it is worth sitting it out.
