So today I just moved 2 of my girls into their new bluebell hutch complete with fleece liners. They have just moved out of their 4ft single hutch, on shavings into a double hutch on fleece, so I know they will not use the ramp straight away. At first I put them into the bottom and they were running around squeaking and popcorning. I then moved them upstairs to let them eat hay and access food and water etc and to give them cover in the darker bed end. I left them for a few hours before feeding veg and to check on them.
They are now so so frightened, which is really out of character, not eating much veg, very not interested. Flash is normally flighty but she just sits frozen and daisy is normally still and lets you stroke her in the cage but she is running around like a lunatic. They are so scared and I just worry about them.
Is there anything I can do to make the transition easier of will they just get used to it in a few days?
I don't like my babies being so scared.
Thanks
Edit: Just realised this should be in housing, ooops

I prefer to have food downstairs, as I find they use that area more. They're just settling don't worry ;)

When mine first went in their hutch they were like it too. It took them around two weeks to settle down properly so don't worry. They'll get there :)
