Need some teen boar care tips

Hi, so my boar bear is roughly 7 or 8 months old and I noticed when he rubs his butt on the ground to put his scent there, when his scent gland sticks out sometimes theres like sticky poop poking out. So, I pulled out what I could which was sticky brown poo residue it looked like and I even opened up the hole like you would do for compaction and tried to clean it out but I was unsure what to use to clean it and if I should even be cleaning his anus. There wasn't full clumps of poop or anything but it was brown and had a sticky residue. Should I be cleaning this with coconut oil? Just need some tips on how to clean him and if anyone has tips for teen boars in general. Also he freaks out when I try to cut his nails so if anyone has any tips on making that process easier. Thanks!

This guide below may help you but generally speaking for young piggies you don’t need to do anything - they should be perfectly able to keep themselves clean. My boys are now coming up to four years old and so far I’ve not had to do anything with them

Hello. Teen boars are wonderful. I have had 9 boars in total and would say that I have only ever had to clean one of their anal sacks. It was a 7 year old who had impaction. It’s normal to be a tiny bit dirty. My tips on teen boars would be always have two exits on hides, two of everything in their house. Scatter feed veggies and always handle and feed the dominant piggy first. Also when cleaning them out I always leave a bit of dirty hay in their hutch so it still smells like each of them.

With regards to nail clipping you could try distraction with food or just do one foot at a time.
