I have two piggies. One is about 3 months and the other is about 5. They were hesitate to like each other at first but are now the best of friends. They do everything together.
I got the 3 month old first and didn’t get the second until after she was off of her medicine because I adopted the 3 month from a breeder and she came with a lot of issues. When I was giving her her medicine she seemed to really trust me and she would sit in my lap for hours. She would lick my face and my hands constantly.
After introducing my New Guinea pig my 3 month old hasn’t licked my face, doesn’t want to sit on my lap, has become more skittish and I just feel like we have lost our bond. I’m not sure if it’s the new piggy’s influence but even my 5 month seems to trust and bond with me more than my 3 month.
Does anyone have any tips? I’m nervous I lost my 3 month olds bond and it makes me really sad because she used to trust me so much.
