I have two guinea pigs. They are not fully grown yet and are in a store bought cage that, as expected, isn't big enough. They do get a lot of floor time but I am aware that isn't enough. I want to build a bigger cage for them in a month or so but, even though we live in a house with plenty of space, my father said we can't put them in the only decent place we have, because the guests would see them, even though I wanted to make a beautiful wooden cage. They gave the option of making a two story cage with the about same width and length as the current one. I don't want to put them in the terrace, even though they said we could. I am aware that piggies shouldn't be outdoors.
I'm really scared I might have to give them away... I love them very much and want them to have the best life possible.
Any advice? Would the two story cage be enough?

Ok, I can understand why your pigs would not necessarily be outside because of the heat.

Do you have your own room? Perhaps they could go there? Whilst the levels are useful and will certainly give them exercise, main floor space is primary, especially if you have boys, they need a bit more space for their huge ego's.

My room is way too small for a cage like that. Even the cage they're in now was too big. They're two girls so they won't need as much space as boars, and they get along really well.
My parents told me they will think about it. They said they'll get a big cage but they might need to stay in that cage for a bit longer t... I'll be sure to let them roam the kitchen everyday for most of the day.

I think you are wise to consider using the vertical space you have and then giving them plenty of floor time as well to be able to run around and popcorn very freely, whilst not ideal, it's clear you love your piggies very much and want to provide the best environment for them that you have.

Thank you so much for the answer. I beat myself down a lot because of their current cage.

I can understand that. When I got my first piggies, I had 3 and their cage was tiny but I didn't know how much room they needed until they started arguing. I found the forum, asked the questions and lots of research I bought a large cage, after they had done a quick exploring, they were pop corning all over the place for days. It was one of the best things I had ever seen. My adorable girls were incredibly grateful for the extra room, extra houses and tunnels.

Aww that makes me want that for them so bad.
I'm just a really worried pig mom.
My piggies have been treated for a URI just two weeks ago and one of them has sneezed yesterday and today again. That piggie is also making a weird noise like clicking but it seems like its coming from the inside. Its really scary. It isnt as loud as the crackling noise I heard on a video so I'm not sure if it is crackling or not. Shes eating hay right now but wont bite the carrot I gave her or the pellets but I'm not sure if its because shes not hungry or if shes sick. She has been eating well.
