I'm still knew at the bonding piggies togeather. My first two that i bonded was so easy they just knew right from the start who was boss and that is it. no teeth chattering no fighting for the position.

I just got a knew piggie like three weeks and I put her in a cage that is right next to the other piges. I have them in a c&c Cage. well they all been chewing at the bars like they want to be in the same cage togeather and play. Well today i decided to do floor time with all of them. There is alot of teeth chattering with the older ones at the knew one. Not to sure if she is backing down or not because everytime she will walk away but at the same time rumble at them. Is this a sign that she wants to be the boss.

also when is it going to be ok to put them all in the same cage togeather.

I'm so not used to this kind of behavior my old ones just did lots of bum sniffing an humpping and none of this is going on with the older ones n knew ones.

Please help I'm so confused on what i should do and whats going on. If its any help i can post a video on what they are all doing.

This all sounds normal. It depends on the guinea pig but there usually is teeth chattering and rumblestrutting while they figure out who's in charge. As long as they're not fighting and drawing blood then there's no need to worry. It can take a while for them to work out who's boss. When you do put them in the cage together make sure its been cleaned well so it smells neutral and try putting a large pile of veg in the middle, they'll tend to be too distracted by the veg to bother each other and keep and eye on them to make sure they aren't fighting. Only interfere if there is a serious fight or blood is drawn. But it doesn't sound like they should have any problems. Good luck with them.

they are ok right now they are all just relaxing, but when one does get close to the knew one there is still some teeth chattering. Now do you think it would be ok to put them in the same cage right now. Iam cleaning everything as I'm typing this out. all the bars of the c&c Cage is socking as well as their pigloos, bowls, water bottles, and all their toys. I'm also going to wip the coroplast down with water and viniger.

Silly question but how do you know if you wiped the coroplast down good enough so their smell is no longer there. I'm just worryed and dont want nothing bad to happen since i *** my babys and dont want them to get hurt.

I would have a few more meetings on neutral ground yet - for as long a stretch of time as you can. If you put them in the cage now, you might end up with a fight, as acceptance seems not to have happened yet.

How old is your new piggy and what is her background? Sometimes, a piggy that has been separated too early can have problems socialising with others. At worst, you may find that it won't work out in the long run. Some older sows won't like to be around other girls.

i belive she is three months old. I work at a pet store and she was in one of our delivers. When we where going through our guine pigs to make sure everyone was helthy we found her with no eyes. We put her in our sick room to observe her over night and the next day brought her to the vet. The Dr said she is blind and must have been breeded wrong. She came to us with a heard of other piggies, but was taken away and put by herself since she was sick and had to be put on medication. Dont really no much more about her background.

BUt since i had her i been observing her and come to find out she can see a little in one eye.

So should i put them all togeather every day during floor time and how long should they have floor time togeather. And when do i know if its going to be ok to put them all togeather in the same cage

I'm sorry everyone that i have so many questions just need to know whats going on and make sure everyone is safe

I wiped mine down with lemon juice just until i could only smell the lemon and no piggy smell. I wouldn't put them in with pigloos would only put in shelters that have two exits so none can get cornered in the pigloo.

Oh another suggestion. If they're currently in a cage thats split you could try swaping them over to the opposite sides of the cage or swapping toys so they get more used to each others scent.
