I've had my first sow Sasha since February, she's probably about 8-9 months old. I got her sow mate Penelope a few months later, and she's about as many months younger than Sasha.
Sasha was always the dominate one, and besides a little rumbling here and there and some head-raising, there was never any serious issues.
But tonight, I was at the computer, and I heard them running, and I turned to see them popcorning like usual, but instead Sasha was going at it with Penny, they were on hind legs and they were going nuts! I separated them in the cage, but Sasha chattered her teeth like never ever before and rumbled like CRAZY. Poor Penny was making that submissive sound like she'd never had before. I quickly put both pellet bowls and water feeders on separate side of the cage, too, and put in paper bags to offer extra shelter besides their hidey tubes.
They have NEVER, EVER, acted like this before. It scares me to leave them alone. What to do? What to do?! They are my baby girls and I thought they'd be best friends forever. I need help, ASAP!!
