Hello, I have had my guinea pig for 3 and a half years. It is quite hard for me to find a vet in my area that specializes in small animals like guinea pigs that is why I am writing here for help to determine if i should be concerned. This morning while clipping nails I found a lump on my guinea pigs leg. It looks almost like a wart. She is eating normally and drinking like usually. It doesnt hurt her When I touch it. What could this be? I am going to add a picture.

:wel: The lump could be a sebaceous cyst, particularly if it is small and quite hard. Is it soft or moveable at all? Only a vet can tell for sure, it doesn't need to be a specialist vet for diagnosing this kind of thing. I should think lumps on the skin are very similar in most small animals, so any vet with training in small animal medicine ought to be able to work out what it is. I hope you can find a vet who will see her x

It is very hard, definitely not moveable. I am going to add a photo in here just trying to work out how. Thank you so much for help though I am very scared for my pig.

There are a multitude of things which a lump can be, but they all need a hands on check by a vet to determine what they are.
We cannot tell you what it is, even with a photo - it still requires a hands on check - plus we are not vets so cannot tell you what it is even if we did know

You will still need a hands-on examination by a vet since we cannot tell you what kind of lump you are dealing with just from a picture. Most small lumps are hard.

I will definitely try the vet. Just wanted to know to ease my panicking a little. Thank you all so much for help. I appreciate it very much 😢

Hi, it looks like it could be a cyst, is that a scab over the top? Please try and not worry too much but as mentioned, it will require a hands on check by a vet for a proper diagnosis and the correct treatment x

Yeah It definitely looks like a blood inside, when I am checking it. I tried to take a better picture, but she kept moving so I couldn´t. Thank you all so much, it is just scary, because I lost a pig over a year ago and since then I always get so scared about every little health issue.

So sorry for your loss 😞 Please do see a vet especially if it has blood inside

It looks rather like a burst cyst or abscess to me but please accept that we can only guess.
