they all seem so high - as in deep for the piggies to get into.... compared to the smaller ones i have..

So, Pippin is new to Winny and I am making sure they have 2 hay trays at the moment but ideally I would like one larger one so they eat together... Can anyone recommend one? or do you think they would manage to get in?

Mine hop in and out with no issues. Hay is a great incentive! It’s only annoying when someone stands on the edge and tips it, catapulting hay all over the floor.

What about adding a bendy bridge to help them get in and out?

For our older rabbit I simply used a hot knife to cut a small doorwary into a large, plastic underbed storage box to make hay tray access easier for him, but still contain most of the hay.

I will just buy it - they aren't expensive - will soon see if they can't get in and out lol!

We use these potting trays from Amazon they cost around £6 but will easily fit 3 piggies. They are easy for them to climb into as they have one low edge. They are just a bit less than the width of 2 C&C grids.

We bought a plastic dog bed instead as we couldn't find a low fronted litter tray. Think it was around £6-£8 off Amazon, high sides and a lovely low front.

So as I am impatient I went out and found this dog bed in pets at home.. it's a Ferplast one £11... low front lip and they can both jump in 😊20190517_142805.webp20190517_143513.webp20190517_142805.webp20190517_143513.webp20190517_143819.webp

You could try a seed tray, you can get ones with or without holes in for drainage and the are not that high sided x

I use a shallow plastic tray sold as a shoe rack by ikea. 71cm x 35cm. Only 2.25. Very shallow though but enough to catch lots of wee with a thick layer of newspaper and hay on top. I used this cut out storage box before that. The black tray is under the box (which eventually split).
