Natural Degreaser

Is it possible to get or make a natural degreaser for grease gland cleaning? I try to avoid using anything with sodium lauryl sulphate in it on the pigs as something that can be used on cars seems a bit harsh for pigs or anything with parabens. Would vegetable soap be safe?
