Natural Bark Chippings?

Hello!

I keep my 2 piggies Ari & Lloyd outside in a hutch with a fairly large run attached to the front. As you'd probably expect, they're wrecked the grass by eating it all leaving just soil.

Would having Natural Bark chippings as flooring work as a solution?

If not, do you have any suggestions for flooring for outdoor runs that the piggies are in for several hours every day?

My initial reaction to the bark chippings would be no as I'm not sure how their little feet would be, as they can be quite sharp some of those chippings.

I'm sure I have seen photos on here somehwere of piggies on something that looks like astro turf?

I'm sure one of the other members will have a suitable answer for you.

The only other question is, can you move the hutch and run to another part of the grass?
