nail trimming

hi all! just wondering when piggies first need their nails trimmed! my girls are 9 weeks old and have sharp little nails but definitely don’t appear long enough to cut yet! is there a certain amount of weeks you start trimming your piggies nails from or is it just as and when the get a bit long?

It depends on the piggy and when they are long enough to cut. Once they start getting long, then they will need to be cut usually around every six weeks but it may be slightly less, maybe able to go slightly more

Hello maybe get them used to you handling their paws then it’ll be easier.
I have one piggy that is quite happy to have his nails trimmed but my other one is a wriggler and hates it !
If you can’t do it then the vet nurse can help

good idea! yes i’ve been researching places i can get them done if i struggle!
