I plan on getting 2 male Guinea pigs in August, after researching further about Guinea pig health I realized that the nails will need to be cut when neccescary. I am also aware of the quick and the fact that cutting the quick can lead to a result of pain for the Guinea pigs. Please comment how to trim the nails in the most safest way. :D

Hi! It is great that you are doing your research well ahead.

Please consider adopting guaranteed healthy and character matched, stably bonded boars from a good rescue and don't go for two pretty babies that hit the teenage months together and only then find out whether their personalities mesh or not.

A rescue can also show you how to best cut nails. Many UK vet clinics allow you to bring your guinea pigs for a nailcut and are happy to show you for a small fee if you are unsure. @pig in the city has given you our guide.
