Hello, I've just discovered a mysterious lump on my guinea pig. It is just off the centre of her back, it is pink with red scabbing around the edge & sensitive when touchedAde Lump 1.webpAde Lump 2.webp. I've added some pics & would be grateful for any advice.

Any lump requires a hands on vet check for diagnosis and treatment, so please do have your piggy seen by a vet.

Hi

I would recommend that you see a vet for a potentially burst cyst? It somewhat hard to tell as the picture is not quite clear.

Unfortunately, we cannot diagnose just from a picture without a hands-on examination nor are we qualified to replace a vet.

As mentioned please have her seen by a vet to have any lumps and bumps properly diagnosed and the correct treatment given. It could be a burst cyst or abscess but that's just a guess. Please let us know what the vet says x

I took Adelaide to the vet yesterday, she had a reaction to an injection and nothing to worry about. Advice was to treat it with salt water twice a day, so it doesn't get infected.

What injection did she have prior to the lump occurring?
