I know this sound silly but i have several special places i like to go to be alone!
I was brought up in Leeds Kent , you know Leeds castle yes, well i spent most of my childhood roaming the fields, well after having the children all day, i decided i would walk the dog tonight and i would go over and old haunt i use to walk behind my parents house,
It use to be so quiet and the birds would sing and you could just here yourself, I couldn't tonight all i could here was traffic from the M20 which is about 2miles down the road, it made me so tearful that this wonder piece of country side has been spoilt by noise pollution, :-\

has anyone else have a place that as changed for the worse?

But the walk was still as lovely. and feel nice and chilled out,
 
everysummer i feel like that!

where i live we have a georgous big park and castle and in the winter it is lovely to take the dogs and walk round there but in the summer its horrible you cant get moving and its just no fun for the dogs
 
My Mom once told me that when she lived in Wales when she was younger they had a bluebell wood at the bottom of the garden and she used to love playing there. They went back a few years ago and in reality it was just a couple of trees with bluebells growing underneath. She was really upset as it shattered her lovely memories - funny how things look so different when you're a kid :(
 
Oh gosh yeah!

Warwick used to be a fairly quite town, old buildings and generally 'nice'. Now it's all modern and over-full, houses and flats being built everywhere and the traffic.. well there's loads! :-\ :-\

OK it makes me sound older than I am to enjoy the peace, but it really was lovely years ago :)
 
MMMM I USED TO LOVE SPENDING TIME JUST LYING OVER THE FIELDS WITH MY DOGS JUST BUSY DOING NOTHING BIRDS SINGIN INSECTS BUZZING(BIG SIGH) SHAME I HAD TO GROW UP
 
Hooray have fixed the cap key ;D ;D ;D i will talk normally from now on he he 0:)
 
I thought i had got them all but the computer was placed face down by my OH and must have dislodge a rogue in there lol
hopeful it won't happen again now..
