Just sort of wanted to post a picture each of my two boars that started me off loving guinea pigs. They were ex school pigs I rescued myself when they were both two years old, they were brother, kept in a 100cm cage together, they didn't get along so must have been hell. I ended up keeping them as next door neighbours to each other.

Heres Pip. He lived to age 6 he was the submissive boyView attachment 125856

And here is sky the dominant lad, he made it to age 7.5, problem free until 7 then cancer took him away from us.

He had cancer here in the picture, which is why you see ciritcal care round his chops

Almost forgot to mention, Dot did meet sky and Pip, but Pip wasn't neutered and was old, so couldn't put Dot with Pip( risky neuter) and sky was neutered before I had him, to try and get along with Pip ( I know Pointless) and I tried to bond Dot with him, but sky was having none of it, so after sky and pip passed, which wasn't that long sadly, Bernie came along and ended up loving Dot. Happily ever after.

Pip was one of those pigs who had illness after illness, chronic nasal problems, pneumonia once, 2 uri's, a near death case of bloat, close to gastric torsion, survived all 😮 yea i know 🤔😲. And I didn't even know about the cat and rabbit clinic back then

One thing I deeply regret not trying with sky and Pip was using a bigger cage to see if they would have got along in a c and c or a 160 ferplast. Wish I could turn back time, if only I knew then, what I know now

What gorgeous boys.
We never stop missing them
I have loads and loads of photos of them stored, but need a laptop to access them. My laptop broke. So when I get another one or borrow one. Il have 100's of photos.

They will always be in my mind. They were just brilliant animals
