My Sugar Bites >.<

Hiye...

It seems that not a lot of Guinea piggies bite.. but my sugar recently bited my Boyfriend (such a deep bite that it bleeds :'( ) and when we put him back to the cage.. oOoo, he wants to PEE ~

Sugar always do that biting to me when he wanna go backie to the cage...its just that yesterday he went overboard and bitten my boyfriend too deep =(

He seems such a loner to me.. *aww i dunwanna say that* but after Mocha's departure, he seems so happie becos he got more space and even saw him pop-corning around! *faints*

until now, Sugar is still kinda afraid of me whenever i go near.. tried all sort of stuffs.. like talking to him non stop... using food to make him happie.. but when i wanna pick him up, he ran all around the cage and doesn't wan me to pick him :-\

i picked him up becos i wanna groom him a little.. dry bath him.. wanted to cut his nails but i guess he will be too "fidgeting" for it.
Hmm.. does all new piggies behave in such a way? I'm afraid Sugar will be like this in the future too =(

my sister even asked me to wear a glove if I'm going to cut his nails.. hahahaha.. awww =( should i?


Sugar is reallie.. fierce (just like his fiery eye eyes) and bad tempered =(
sigh... and i dunno what to do >.<
should i just leave him alone?
and by time comes by he will be used to me?
I'm afraid if i leave him alone (only by talking to him and no lap time) he will became even more loner O_O~

i would take sugar to the vet to get him checked out in case there is an underlying problem to his biting he might be in pain. you haven't really had sugar long and it takes time and patience to get them to trust you. our jessie is 1.7 years old and it has taken us 12 months to get her to trustus, it depends on the piggy and it's personality. to cut his nails perhaps have a second person to help you or have his back against yours to cut, perhaps gloves would be better until he stops biting. sending hugs and cuddles to you and sugar :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

yupp I would take him to the vet soon.. since we missed the vet appointment on monday as Mocha just passed away.

For some reason, whenever he heard my niece's voice (she's 1 year old), Sugar would came out from his hutch! so amazing xx0 xx0 xx0
Maybe I'm a giant to sugar.. hahahahaa.

i think I'm going to do a C&C cage for Sugar soon.. since he always popcorning around his cage (he runs about like crazie, as if flying in the air.. and kicks the bedding out.. is this call popcorning? lol) and it seems the cage is getting smaller for him.

sounds like pocorning to me, where they jump in the air, run around as if a pack of dogs were after them, flicking in the air etc. jessie does it sometimes and faline the bunny does it too. this usually means that they are happy. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: maybe your niece sounds like a guinea pig? or sugar is in loooove? hoping you go to the vet as guinea pigs don't usually bite unless in pain or are being hurt. sending you hugs and cuddles :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: perhaps you could enter sugar in the kentucky derby? 2funny 2funny 2funny girls send sugar :-* :-* :-* if you do decide to get sugar a friend then get both checked out and perhaps go for a rescue friend for sugar. some rescues allow you to take your piggy with you to let piggy pick out a friend. when the UK folks wakey wakey someone will be able to give to more information about rescues and whether there is one near you. take care :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

But they do bite when they are urging u to put them back to the cage so they can pee pee or poop poop?
Becos once we put Sugar back to the cage, I saw 1 pool of new pee pee on the new beddings.. hahahahaa.
The vet cliniic is closed today and i would need to wait till nxt week for the vet who is specialize in Small animal.

I'm living in Singapore and they doesn't have many rescued piggies (most of them are Dogs/cats/rabbits) in the homes.

I guess i will take Sugar out for some floor time later.. should be alright yea?
I'm afraid he will get frightened or something.. lol.

I did took Sugar and Mocha out for some floor time and they jus hide @ one corner.. hmm.

hahaha maybe my niece sound like a guinea pig! and bet my sugar is in love with her.. lolol ~
