Hi

It looks like a prolapsed purple coloured gland (sign of an infection in the swollen conjunctiva, which pushes the gland up) and not an injury. Please take a deep breath and book an appointment tomorrow. Any decent general vet should do as antibiotic eye drops are the same for all common pet species (including cats and dogs).

Eye treatment and medication is the one thing that guinea pigs share with larger pets.

All the best!

Please make sure to ask your vet whether something could be stuck under the lid so badly that it is not showing but causing constant pain and irritation. You may be surprised at the size of hay pieces or grass that can do that!
