i use fleece with puppy pee pads underneath it. I weight down the corners with piggy-safe tile, but cocoa still tries to rumple it up. I don't know why he does it, he just grabs it in his mouth and yanks it then he kicks it around and messes it up. He doesn't play with it or burrow in it he just rumbles it. When it's pulled away from the coroplast sides then he's satisfied and leaves it alone. Why does he want his bedding all yanked it and the hard bottom around the edges? It can't be comfy for him.

Sounds like you have got a little indoors decorator in there... Piggies are quite good at developing quirks to shape their surroundings the way THEY like them and often just because they can! Unless you weigh the whole sides down or clip thm to the bars, all you can do is wait for the habit to fade at some point.

Some pigs are just very diligent about reorganizing their surroundings to their liking. You will likely never understand why! Hopefully it doesn't cause issues with leaking or anything like that.

I also have a piggie who likes to rearrange things. No matter what I put in one particular corner of the cage, Lucy will push it into the middle of the cage.
Maybe you piggie just likes 'playing' with his bedding. Have you tried making a special pile of small bits of fleece for him to rumple up and burrow in?

Or maybe offer a few different toys to keep him busy?

thanks! How should I go about clipping? Should I use binder clips?

I was just wondering ..... Has this behaviour started since he lost his companion ?
