Junior Guinea Pig
So my beautiful boy gizmo died on Monday, from bladder sludge/ongoing bladder issues.
last night my remaining boy Gilbert didn’t eat his veggies or this morning so I syringe fed him emeraid straight away and again before lunch. I’ve taken him to the vets and they can’t find anything wrong as yet, he had a runny nose/watery eyes on Wednesday but that seemed to be a ‘one off’. She said his lungs were clear. I asked her to check his teeth as he seems to be chewing slowly, she couldn’t get a good look due to there still being emeraid in his mouth. - this was 2-3 hours after I last fed him. He seems to have a touch of bloat. Only passed 3 small poo’s and god knows if he’s passed urine. I couldn’t get hardly any fluid into him and his temp was 36.9 she wanted that to be higher. Any thoughts guys? Could this be him pining for his companion? I’m awaiting an update from the vet on what they’ve done and how he is, I’ve asked them to give him some vitamin c or at least some probiotics of some sort... they plan on giving him gut stimulants and pain relief and s/c fluids and warm him up a bit and feed him.
