I don't know what to do :(

I Have three guinea pigs Mabel (The Boss) and Pippin who are supposed to be sisters but I'm not too sure and Pepper who is Mabels daughter. I have one of the Ferplast cages with the hidey bit and Mabel was sitting in there. Pippin is very timid and whenever you walk over to the cage she will run under there. I went over to the cage to see what they where doing and of course Pippin ran under suddenly I heard this really really loud screech and pippin came running out I then saw a massive clump of pippins fur (she has very long fur) where Mabel was as if she has ripped it off in a fight

What should I do I really don't want to have to separate them due to pippin being very timid but I'm worried next time it could be worse :(

I wouldn't worry too much - Pippin was probably dashing in on a sleeping Mabel and she instinctively reacted.

Is your cage just 120cm/4 ft for 3 guinea pigs? They will be rather cramped in there, especially if you have got only one hidey for them to share.

I'm not sure what size it is I think its the biggest ferplast one. They have the hidey bit it came with and a wooden house and two other beds but she just ran to the nearest one. Mabel really is quite harsh to both of them sometimes as a few occasions I have head squeaking and they run out

One piggy usually is 'top' and as long as the others are happy to be submissive, should live together well.
I really wouldn't worry too much, no injuries suggest it was a tiff - I have three girls and their huspig living together and two of the girls often bicker and end up with a mouthful of the others hair but nothing more serious. Sometimes, one piggy may startle another so lash out, the same as we do if something makes us jump :(
Keep an eye on them though just to make certain there's no bullying...as Wiebke says, piggies need space and sadly, the shop bought pens are not always ideal :(

do you not have the option to extend the cage using ramps to get in and out and grids or playpen cable tied to cage You could use a ground sheet and fleece so no mess . Your cage would then b a kitchen. Good luck

when nissa was still settling in and although only in the herd a week longer, katrina was a right cow to nissa I made sure there were plenty of beds, open ended ones so that nissa couldnt get trapped by katrina and bullied. Months later and nissa is no longer the small baby she was, she is also no longer hiding under the ramp, although she still squeels when one of the other girls come close to her its less than it used to be and she has found more courage, so much so she is sleeping in some of fudges old favourite places. Kat could be quite horrible to niss but there was never any serious fighting, plus the other girls and silver would get upset with kat, plus there was always plenty of room, and tunnels, beds to escape to.
