Ok yes the do roam free the most of the time and I will add more hayHi. So they roam free most of the time? That pile of hay is a bit small - so I would suggest giving them a lot more of that.
Lovely..hay is very important and they need loads every day...Ok yes the do roam free the most of the time and I will add more hay
Yes thank you for your helpLovely..hay is very important and they need loads every day...
Ok they are both boys and I’ve tried giving them smaller amounts of food a day but they just eat it so quick I feel bad for them and give them a bit more the cage is 120cm by 60cm but they do free roam throughout the day they are only shut in over nightI was beaten to it pellets should be limited to a tablespoon per pig per day. So two tablespoons a day.
What does the cage measure, and are they boars or sows? I would add another bowl and bottle.
Ok I will try to get more of everything and as I said bellow I have tried giving them smaller amounts of food and they eat it so quickly I feel bad for them and just keep giving them moreI would add an extra hide especially if they're boys as often boys don't like to share (same with water bottles, hay racks, bowls)
it does look very small and I would worry if they were cooped up in here for more than 25% of the day and night again especially if they're boys because they're more likely to fight.
Also looks like your bowl is pretty full I wouldn't give them that many pellets. some people say only 2 table spoons per pig per day my boys get a bit more than that but they certainly don't have constant access to pellets.
Ok I will start giving them much more hay and less pellets I also have a little furry tunnel that I will add in and they are both coming up to one year old soonThat’s fine for them to finish them up, but don’t give them more. Pellets are the junk food of the piggy world. Just pile in the hay and let them munch on that. Don’t give in and give them a bowl full of pellets. Hay and more hay.
How old are they? it really is best to have the minimum space so they can get away from each other. Boys unfortunately are more territorial and need even more than the minimum. You should also add another hide so one isn’t left out in the cold.
