I made this C&C cage for my pigs a little while ago and have just got round to uploading pics of it now, it's not perfect but it's the best I can do with the space and resources I have right now and I'm just happy that all the pigs can be in the house this winter - they seem to approve :)

here it is...

Nice cage, is that a veg smoothie in their big bottles or do they need to be replaced?

The water bottles look at bit grimey. Maybe time to replace them?

They've been cleaned thoroughly with bottle pipe cleaners since since the picture was taken as this was when they first came in from outside, plus the lighting and the fact that they're next to bottles with green covers on makes it look worse.

Sorry, but they should never have been allowed to get in that state in the first place, I work in water analysis and that is highly dangerous for humans never mind piggies. I wouldn't have even cleaned them i would have disposed of them and bought new to be honest. It would take some strong chemicals to get rid of that algae.

That is such a good set up!
Your pigs are so cute. x)
Also in the defence of dizzilizzi89 she had perfectly clean water bottles beside the dirty ones. So it not all that bad, really.

I dont wish to get into a debate, but even having them water bottle there atall poses serious risk to the piggies. I am not trying to be harsh or horrible, but some people do not realise the dangers of water, even clean water soon breeds bacteria and germs which are harmful, never mind having bottle like that available. Piggies do not look at the green water bottle and think "oo that looks dirty, i;'ll drink from one of the others" do they?

I don't like the conflict, lol.
But I understand what you're saying it was the first thing I saw in the picture but now she knows that it is unsafe.
I just didnt see that it was fair to not nessisarily attack it was more of a warning but she had clean bottles too was all I was saying, it's not like everyone was green.

Sorry if I seem hostile I am not trying. : )

Do please consider the risk to your piggies.Prehaps pick up a few new bottles. They aren't expensive. Even if they have been cleaned they still look a little bit dirty for piggies.

We are not slating you but afterall this is a forum for piggy lovers and we have yours piggies health in mind.

I wasn't being horrible just I wouldn't drink out of a glass that color and therefore wouldn't expect my piggies to!

I was wondering how you support the top layers and have the opening door?

Just bumping for dizzilizzi89. Hoping she can tell me how she supported the upper levels.

Once I initially commented I clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now each time a remark is added I get four emails with the identical comment. Is there any way you possibly can take away me from that service? Thanks! best wishes
