My piggie ate a little bit of my disposable vinyl gloves, will she be ok?

Hi all, after doing the daily muck out, I decided to trim my piggie Delilah's nails and left on my vinyl gloves. Delilah decided to have a little tantrum (as usual) and a nibble and ended up biting around 1 cm off my glove and obviously ate it. Will she be ok? Do you think this will cause her any health problems? I really hope not. Thanks.

Often they are fine after this kind of thing. You do need to keep an eye on her and if you see any signs of illness, lethargy, lack of appetite etc then see a vet.
Keep her eating lots of hay so everything keeps moving through.

Lots of us have been there though - piggies chewing things they shouldn’t. One of mine chewed the rubber strip off the dustpan!

Ok, that's a relief. Yer I will definitely keep a close eye on her and no more vinyl gloves when trimming nails! Oh my, they will chew away at anything wont they. Was your piggie ok?

Yes he was absolutely fine. It also wasn’t just once he did it - he has a real obsession with the dustpan!

My two naughty boys ate a large piece of black refuse bag and were fine. I’m sure Delilah will be ok.

One of mine once ate the black rubber bung off a syringe when I was syringe feeding him! and he was fine too.
Unlike other animals such as cats and dogs, piggies grind everything up to a fine paste before swallowing it, so are less likely to get a foreign body lodged somewhere inside.
