one of my piggies is constantly digging up the sides of the fleece and towels and stuff and chews the puppy pads. is there anyway I can stop her digging? I can't clip the fleece to the sides of the cage because of the way the cage is built. I really wanted to buy/make cage liners so that they fit perfect and there's nothing underneath for her to chew. The puppy pads are unscented so I don't think the smell is attracting her, unless they still smell a little bit. I dunno lol. Any ideas would be much appreciated! I'm sick of going into their room and having to redo their cage everyday! lol

I'd say digging was probably quite an enjoyable activity for a piggy lol, so if I were you I would try to give them something even more interesting for them to do that is better than chewing and digging. We have had the same problem of pigs chewing what they aren't meant to chew although one thing we found from that is they quite like hazel wood and things like that. For a while they even had a massive wooden basket in there for them to chew! I cant help you with the digging but I can help with the chewing get them a BIG chew toy that doesn't look like it's meant to be chewed, they'll chew it!

You probably won't be able to stop her from digging, but you could always offer a digging area. Like a litter tray or corner filled with cuts of fleece/towel, things like that. Or maybe fitch or something? :)

I have found this brilliant idea on the internet and have been using it to stop digging! Basically buy a role of velcro (craft store most likely) then attach the velcro to the insides of the cage since velcro sticks to fabrics that means you can attach your fleece to the velcro. As long as your velcro is good then this should most likely stop digging, it did with mine ! This should hopefully stick together nicely

heres a photo :)

i love how your set up is set up with the baseboards! unless i'm seeing it wrong.

I think I will try and make something for them to dig. I just wish she wouldnt chew the puppy pads the most, I'm worried what they might do to her lol. I'm thinking of changing their cage once I start my new job so I might try and do their fleece a different way
