Well found out yesterday ive passed! O0

Will have to wait 6-7 weeks for the certificate.........

So glad i finally found out!

I have just started doing NVQ level 2... is it hard? :-\

What did you do your NVQ in?
 
Well done Alison! I can imagine how you're feeling ... I dream of getting mine over and done with. Have been doing it for a year now so have to get on with it.

Have just spent a couple of hours on it this morning and then my finger sort of slipped and I found myself on GP forum - isn't that strange ::)

Hope you're going to be doing some celebrating.
 
awww well done - I have done NVQ level 2 & 3 and also HNC so I know what a pain they can be and you get to a point when you just want them to be over! hehe

It was an NVQ 3 in care, so much paperwork and lots of writing/typing!

It was hard but hard bit i found was all the referencing and assignments and the dreaded matrix :o

Worth it in the end :)
 
what is your current job, alison?

I am doing NVQ2 and was told that I have to be in a senior position to be able to do my NVQ3... :-\

do you know why on earth they renamed you to be a "vocational coach" ? it sounds so silly 98)

I'm a support assistant/tutor in a college with 16-18 year olds who have learning diffs/behavioural issues.

We merged 2 years ago with the care team and the boss thought all staff should have a care qual. Theres 1 tutor and 4 support doing the qual.

Thought id need to do level 2 first but boss said we could fast track - ive done part of my teaching course which was level 4 so that helped.

Its been ok the course but way too much paperwork! ::)

I think if in residential you have to do level 2 unless your a senior and can go in at level 3, managers can do level 4.
 
Vocational coach! I have no idea, just to generate more paperwork probably. My official title when I was a tutor in decorative occupations (painting and decorating basically) was trade trainer. When I said that to people, they did not know what I was on about ;D I have only assessed NVQ`s in the construction industry, although how assessments are carried out are basically the same but the paperwork side of it from college to college is completely different.
