After Mr Rochester sadly passed away last week, I decided I was going to wait until after Xmas to get new companions for Mr Darcy. Seeing Darcy heartbreakingly squeak for Rochy, I decided to casually browse for rescue pigs in my area. No such luck, no rescues had any piggies. Then I saw George on the PAH adoption page. I phoned up, to go and see him. Half an hour later, I was seeing lovely George, but George had a brother! So they have both been adopted and have found their forever home with me. Both are 8 months old, very chilled out, and friendly.
Meet George (dark agouti) and Bertie. Mr Darcy has met them and it's all positive. They won't live with Darcy, but they are all becoming firm friends :)

Aww they’re lovely.Ive noticed on the pets at home adoption page most of the time or only days about one pig not the other so you always assume they’re on their own lol.

Congratulations on your gorgeous piggies. George looks like Peanut did at that age, as he got older he grew spectacles round his eyes, wonder if George will.

P&H are very naughty a sow was there it was very small. It was love at first sight i asked where it had been rescued from & they said it was 1 left out of a litter, they had from a breed.
They used to let you put whatever you wanted in the box. We had to take her to the till & were told we had to pay £15. I'm beginning to think I been conned & they were the con artists. She' been by herself for about 8 to10 weeks. Has anybody been though this.

That doesn't sound good. I was told people don't want to buy larger pigs, by the shop girl, I was shocked. Poor piggies, luckily they have me now and I love my boys.

I need pics! :) George had got longer hair on his rump, is this typical in agoutis?

I have a silver agouti and his hair isn't particularly long on his rump but I remember that my Rainbow Piggie Lenny who was a golden agouti rex had longer hair round his rump and I had to trim it.

I have a feeling I might have to be trimming George's bum! I would love a silver agouti, they are lovely creatures

Not a brilliant pigture of Peanut but the best I can find of his eye rings. Pets at Home piggys tendto have a mix of genes as they are farmed. Sounds like your George has got some long haired mix in him. My new boy Rusty is the same he has started to grow a skirt, he has got some lemon agouti in him I think. Rust link above, it's gone in the wrong place, I wont try to move it as it will probably get lost, I'm not very good at this technology stuff!

Aw, just love peanuts goggles, he's a bonny lad  I guessed George might not be a pure agouti, but the bum fur us just too cute. Rusty is a beauty, I love the various colours and markings agoutis coats come in.
